Fired due to pregnancy
This is in Westmoreland County PA.
Throughout the past 3-4 weeks i have been complaining to my boss that i can't do my job in my state. With his refusal to listen i was forced to call off a few days, and leave early a few others, even though he could have moved my position at some point like he has done for others.
I have been extremely sick due to being pregnant, and my doctor told me to not go into work and they'd give me a doctors excuse for 3 days. The doctor told me to contact my HR department at work to see about getting FMLA (family medical leave act) which i was then told by my work that i did not have enough hours in to qualify. Later in the day my work had called and fired me. Can they legally do this?

You asked about termination due to pregnancy.
You may have a claim if the employer fired you because of the pregnancy. There are laws that specifically protect pregnant workers.
But if you were fired because of any other reason you may not have a claim. An employee is eligible for FMLA leave only after working 1,250 hours in the past year.
You will need to speak with an attorney to determine if you have a claim.
