Fired and withholding final pay
I was fired from my position as an assistant manager at a bank due to a fraud incident I was unaware of. I was home sick at the time they called me to inform me i was terminated. They never contacted me in regards to my health insurance termination, and I was asked to give a statement to the local police. While at the police station, I was accused of being involved. I'm aware this is a violation of my civil rights. Now however, the bank is holding my last paycheck and demanding that I come in and speak directly to the CEO and give another (would be my third) statement. Do i have to cooperate with them anymore? Do they have the right to hold my pay when i've already given a statement a bank Vice President and the local police? They sent me a letter saying that I need to pick up my check and that I need to speak with the CEO in regards to the situation. This doesn't sound fair or legit to me. Any help would be great, I'm in need of that last pay since i just started working again this week. Thanks!

The only way they can legally withhold the check would be if they had sufficient cause to beleive you were involved and to offset against the lost they suffered. If you are not involved and there is no evidence to suggest your involvement. A strong letter from an attorney probably would be the quickest way to get your money. I offer free consultations.
