Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Firing

I was fired from a position I held for over 2 years on the grounds that a temp agency the company used called and complained about me.

I called the temp agency on my own and the office personnel there denied that they ever complained.

I was given a second reason for the firing citing an incident that never happened.

Do I have any options here?

Re: Firing

It depends upon what the real reason for the firing was. Although under Pennsylvania law an employer can generally fire an at will employee for any reason or no reason they can not fire you for a discriminatory reason or a reason that violates public policy. When an employer gives a false reason for a firing it sometimes is an indication that the real reason was illegal.
