Re: Free info
You asked about getting free information about specific laws.
One word, library. There are numerous excellent libraries all over the state. Most are operated with public funds and all are open to the public. These include law libraries, medical libraries and many other specialized collections). There are some private libraries (such as at private colleges or corporations), but often these are open to the public also. At some places there is even free public access to many of the most powerful legal research tools.
Further, anything you would like to know about the law is available publicly. Much of it is on the web. Jenkins Law Library in Philadelphia has excellent resources available on its web site (links to free and paid legal resources).
the law is available to everybody. What you are paying for with an attorney is expertise. We have studied the law and can access it and analyze it with better results than the average person. Just like a physician or a clergy person. There is no secret to the human body that is not available knowledge, but some have studied and can apply that knowledge more quickly, they are called doctors. And no one needs a cleric to get in touch with god. But clerics have studied theology and can help people with their problems more efficiently according to their doctrine.
Hope this helps.
