Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

harrasment

I am a senior manager that has been terminated from a position because of charges I filed agaisnt an employee who left a sexually harrasing message on my answering machine. The call was traced by the phone co. and the police are investigating the call. Several other employees are involved includung another manager and the Ass. GM. The work place was hostile in nature for me to begin with now it became increasingly hostile since I filed the charges. I asked for a servance pay and also want my sick/vaca. pay. Also I had no co. support for the actions taken agaisnt me. Do I have any recourse?

Re: harrasment

Yes, you do have recourse. Both Pensylvania and federal laws provide remedies for employees subjected to sexually hostile work environments. In addition, the law prohibits an employer from retaliating in any way against an employee who complains of sexual harassment. You should contact an attorney promptly to get a complete assessment of your options. the time periods for bringing any claim are quite limited in this areaand consequently, any delay could prove costly.
