Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

My husband hurt his shoulder, work took him off (no he didn't file accidnet report) he told me he wanted to be nice and keep his job. well he ended up having surgery on both shoulders, looking at having surgery on his hands, he is a diesel mechanic, well after the surgery on shoulders he started surgery like was ordered, he complained of shoulder pain again and again to the Orthopedic doctor, well they ordered MRI and he is backin the same boat, impingement in shoulder, and slap tear. my thing is we have nothing coming in from his work he only got short term disability. is there anything we can do or any way we can get something coming in? he did apply for SSI but that has been a hassle, we have to wait another 4 months before he see's SSI doctor. i will loose everything before this happens. Can you help us and is there anything we can do?

Your husband should immediately consult with a workers' compensation lawyer. Time periods for notifying an employer of a work injury and then filing a claim for benefits are relatively short. Time is of the essence. As for SSI and/or Workers' Compensation, I handle numerous such disability cases. Feel free to contact me for a no cost no obligation consultation at (412) 471-6463 or (800) 433-9700
