Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania
My job is entirely on-call nights and weekends for a non-profit social service agency. When I get a call, I am expected to leave for the hospital or police station within 30 minutes and I can be there anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. My agency pays me a flat salary based on 14 shifts per month. Lately we have been down employees and we are taking much more than 14 shifts per month. How should we be compensated and should we get extra compensation for the extra shifts?

A lot depends on your job duties, the amount of the salary, and the actual number of hours actually worked each week. Feel free to call me for a no cost, no obligation telephone consultation. Domenic A. Bellisario
