what if an employer locks an employee who has panic attacks in a room with no airconditioning on as 87degree day on the outside, butso much warmer inside? There is no way to prove it, but door only locks from outside

Call a locksmith. Use a well-known local business. They will have enforced Court Orders and stuff over the years and gained credibility in local officials' estimation.
Have the Smithy test the doorknob and write down what is going on.
Tell the locksmith under your breath to call a cop as soon as he leaves.
As your captor is dragged away, contemplate the light of day and how much your new lawyer shall demand in your False Imprisonment Lawsuit.
You need at least a cop and maybe a lawyer with subpoena power. First, get your ducks in line by having someone confirm your suspicion.
