lowering rate of per-piece pay when work gets busy
I have been employed with the same co. in the same supervisor position for 8 yrs. I am paid by the piece-.03 for each piece that the women who are under me do. Sometimes I get a decent check, sometimes its not so great. It vaires depending on the volumn of work. We recently got the largest job the co. has ever had. My boss is now telling me I am making too much money (because of the larger volumn) and he wants to cut my pay. Do I have any recourse? What are my options?

The law does not prevent an employer from lowering an employee's rate of pay so long as the amount of pay does not violate minimum wage or overtime laws. Piecework is generally subject to minimum wage requirements but because you are a supervisor you may be exempt from minimum wage requirements if your position qualifies as a "bona fide administrative posiition".
