Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Minor laws-termination

My 16 year old is a dishawasher in a restaurant. Manager did not tell him he was fired, instead just crossed him off the schedule. Should a minor still recieve a written or verbal warning before being fired? Or do we just not care any more and they can just terminate without any warning?

Re: Minor laws-termination

You asked about employment termination.

PA is an at-will employment state. Employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason.

The method of termination speaks only to the professionalism and maturity of the manager.

Learn a lesson and move on.

Roger
