Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Pre-hire physical

I was recently hired by a company and they said the job offer was contingent upon a negative drug screen and gave me a starting date. We made the necessary arrangements to move 10 hours away to Ohio including notifying my present employer and cancelling our lease on our house. One week before moving, they called and wanted me to come to their city for a drug screen and a stress test. I asked why a stress test because no one had ever said anything about a stress test just a drug screen. When I arrived at their city which was a 4 hour drive, they informed me then didn't know anything about a stress test but required a full physical. Because I was desperate to relocate, I took the physical that lasted almost 4 hours. They told me I would be a poor risk and the job went down the drain. Was it legal for them to do this? I'm 60 years old and would have had no problem doing the job. Thank you.

Re: Pre-hire physical

The events you relate certainly sound suspicious but whether or not what the company did was illegal may depend on what sort of job this was.
