Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Severance pay question

Hello, Could you please explain what this statement in my severance agreement means; will this affect my unemployment benefits?

''Reservation of rights: You do not waive any right or release any claim under any workers compensation or unemployment compensation laws, or any vested right you may have under any 'company's' employee benefit plan which by their explicit terms survives termination of employment''.

Thank you!

Re: Severance pay question

Generally language such as you quoted as inserted to protect the worker by reserving his or her rights under the enumerated program. basically you are not giving up the rights you have to unemployment or workman's compensation or pension or other benefit programs that have accrued to you by your employment.
