Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

I am a teacher who is under a 10 month contract from Aug 30, 2010 to June 30, 2011. In the contract it states that one must give 30 days notice. My question is, if I have signed a contract for the upcoming year, but accept a position with anther school prior to Aug 30, am I still bound by the terms of the contract? Do I still need to give 30 days notice, or is that only effective from Aug 30 June 30?

THanks for your help.

You cannot be made to perform the services discussed in your prior contract but you should give notice within at least thirty days so that your employer can find a replacement. Frankly, I do not understand wy you would not give your employer as much notice as possible. You could be liable for monetary damages if you do not provide adequate notice.
