Re: can i be terminated?

If your back and shoulder pain can be demonstrated to have been caused by your work, you may have a valid worker's compensation claim. You should review the matter with an attorney as soon as possible so that you do not lose your rights by the passage of time. As for your employer increasing your hours, you may be entitled to protection under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Your employer is required to make reasonable accomodations to allow you to work if you are a qualified individual with a disability. You should have your doctor write a letter outlining the reason that you should not work the extra hours, and then give the letter to your employer with a erquest that you be permited to work only the number of hours you are physically able.
