Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania
Over Time Pay
I am a Customer Support Representative for a software manufacturing firm. I do no programming or systems analysis nor do I test software before it is released. Recently we were told that we must put in extra hours (no specific number of hours or times given). I have the email where we were told this. We are not being paid for this overtime. Is my employer in violation of the federal law? I work from my home in Ohio. Employer is in Pennsylvania

If you are an employee then you can invoke federal protection or state. Do you receive a w-2. Do you have to follow directives. All elements of whether your an employee.
