Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Aparment lease :Cheated

When i first went to see the new appt., they showed me a different appt. saying that the one i am moving is not vacant at that time and will be exactly same as this one.

When i finally signed the lease and saw the appt. i realized that the model of appt. i was shown is different from than one i leased. The white light and white floor tiles are not there in the one i leased and they were there in the one they showed me.... I hate this new appt. Is there any thing i can do? At least to make the lease void and get back my deposit and rent???

Re: Apartment lease :Cheated

The question would be are the differences between the model apartment and the one you rented significant enough to rise to the level of misrepresentation. For example the amount of square footage was different. Or the model had all new appliances and the apartment rented had appliances from the 1980s.

Based on what you've stated it might be misrepresentation or not. If its just tile color and a light I doubt you could make the case for misrepresentation.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
