Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Is this a Breach of contract?

I am a landlord. My property taxes on my rental were behind, my tenant found out about the rearages and refused to pay their rent. (at the time she was already behind on the rent) I told her that the taxes would be paid in a few days but she still wouldnt pay her rent. A few days passed, I paid the taxes and my tenant said even though she called and found out indeed the taxes had been paid she claimed a breach of contract had occured and will not be paying the back rent the current rent and furthermore, will be moving out. Was this a breach of contract? Seems to me that unless she were put out of the house because of back taxes was it any of her buisness? I cant help but think this was just an excuse not to pay.

Unless there was a clause that said you had to remain current on your taxes then what part of the lease was breached? I would politely ask her to cite where in the lease that is stated.

Clearly the tenant has breached the lease by not paying rent. I do not think I need to see the lease to know that paying the rent was in the lease somewhere say like page 1.

I would explain to the tenant the benefits of paying up.
