Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

I want my brother to vacate the property. He has been nothing but a deadbeat in my house for about 7 monthes. I have given him 30 days notice to vacate. Can I have him removed from the property by way of the police or district magistrate? Can I be sued?

You would have to first give him a Notice to Quit, telling him he has X days to clear out or you will file for a writ of possession with the DJ. If he doesn't move out in X days you go to the DJ and file for your writ. If you win he pays your costs for filing.
