Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Commercial building

I rent part of a commercial building, destroyed in a fire, arson is suspected. My machinery is still in building. My lease does not have anything in it about fires. The utilities have been shut off because of damage. Do I still pay rent?

Re: Commercial building

Without viewing your lease, any answer would simply be speculative in nature. However, based on what you told me I would contact your landlord and discuss this with them in detail. It would be advisable to have a real estate attorney negotiating on your behalf, and as soon as possible. Please contact my office directly for additional information.

Sincerely,
