Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

co-renter won't pay his half of the rent

My college student daughter has a lease agreement with a co-renter who has failed to pay his half of the rent and bills. My daughter is unfortunely liable for the total cost since there is just one lease, signed by both. Landlady says she will sue my daughter, who has faithfully paid her half, if the person she is sharing the apartment with doesn't pay. Is there anyway I can get this money from him if I am forced to pay-up to keep my daughter's electric, gas etc. on, as well as paying all the rent?

Re: co-renter won't pay his half of the rent

Your daughter needs to seek out legal representation as soon as possible, failure to do so will almost certainly lead to a law suit being filed.

Please contact my office for more information on this matter as soon as possible or visit my website at www.Alleghenyattorneys.com.
