Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania
My grandson was kicked out of his place of residence and the people he lived with held a personal item of his. They say he can get it back by paying them in cash the money he owes for rent/electric. He never signed any lease papers. It was all a verbal agreement between the tenants and him. They are saying now that they want to sell his personal item on the sly to get the money owed. Is this legal?

Maybe. Oral contracts are enforceable in Pennsylvania . So depending on the facts a court could go either way.
