If your rent is current and having a job is not a specific condition of your lease (or some other agreement- a housing grant agreement/section 8 etc. - your own agreement as a result of some settlement of the previous back rent issue) than I wouldn't think, based on your post) that you have no obligation to comply. That is not to say that if your rent isn't current you would have an obligation to get a job; it simply means your landlord may have another basis (reason) to evict you. Understand, your relationship with the landlord is one based on contract (although the landlord tenant act provides other rights and remedies). Until your landlord takes further action I don't think you have recourse either. Ask your Landlord to show you what contractual in the lease (or statutory) language they are relying on which gives them the authority to require you have a job as a condition of your tenancy.
