Getting a landlord to evict a tenant
The home next door to mine is a rental. The renters there are constantly shouting profanities, playing loud music and having parties that last late into the night. The male in the home is a severe alcoholic and illegal drug use is also a normal occurence. I've talked to them and their landlord about the problems. I've called the police, they come to the house, nothing changes.
Other neighbors are tired of the noise as well so a letter was written to the landlord six weeks ago asking that the renters be evicted. Nothing has happened. How can I get these renters out? Is there a way I can put pressure on the landlord or even force him to evict them?

One thought is to file a nuisance claim against the landlord and the tenant. Its been done in other jurisdictions.
There may be other ways. I would advise you to find a local attorney to pursue the matter.

You should consider a private criminal complaint. You should also call your local D.A.'s office and ask to speak to the Nuisance Task Force. They can help you.
