Landlord Harassment
my boyfriend is past due on his rent due to a temporary disablility issued by his doctor, he is moving as soon as he can, his land lord constantly is coming to his residence harrasing him, saying he is going to call the police, I do not live here, but i have a dog, and the dog comes with me when i visit, i was over helping my boyfriend pack his things while he was at work and the landlord started pounding on the door like he was going to knock it down, i answered it and he starting using profain language, saying he was going to call the police on me, because i am not on the lease, and that my boyfriend can not have a dog, i explained it was my dog and that we do not live here, and he proceded to cuss and threaten me, saying i had no permission by him to be here, i explained i was the tenints girlfriend and he had given me permission, and he said thet my boyfriend doesnt have permission to be here either, followed by more profain language and a threat to call the police on me, my boyfriend recived a notice to appear in court from the landlord, but the land lord did not show up for the hearing, there has been no eviction notice issued, other than leaving here as soon as humanly possible, what can be done about this?

Re: Landlord Harassment
The landlord's actions, if accurately described, are a violation of the Landlord-Tenant law, as well as harassment. You would have an action against the landlord if you so chose.
