Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Landlord showing rental house after he told us it was off the market

We just moved to PA from TN and

are renting a house which we have a

lease agreement on. When we took

the house we were told the house

was off the market and we signed a

12 month lease which states nothing

about the sale of the property. Now

he is showing the house and telling

us sorry. What leg do we have to

stand on if the house gets sold?

A lease acts as encumbrance to the property. That is if house is sold its sold subject to the lease. Unless there is something in the lease to the contrary the new owner gets you as a tenant.
