Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Landlord/Tenant

Mother lives in a rental apartment - condo/type - about 30 units. She had both knees replaced, and now has a handicapped sticker. She and two other tenants w/ these stickers asked landlord to put up a sign for handicapped parking for them - he did, but now another tenant is complaining, and he seems to be about to cave. This to me seems to be 'reasonable accommodation.' I can't find evidence of that, though - NOLO's guide says only: ''Parking - if the landlord provides parking in the first place, providing a close-in, spacious parking space for a wheelchair-bound tenant.'' None of these tenants are wheelchair-bound, though. Also, parking at this place is first come first serve - no assigned spaces. (Other than these handicapped spaces). Can you provide advice and preferably documentation online I could print out? Thank you!

Re: Landlord/Tenant

The Fair Housing Act may apply in your situation. You can find it by searching for it on Google. Also, your mother should speak with an attorney if your landlord is not cooperative.
