lease aggrement

I moved out of a house and the former landlord is charging me for rent and late charges for 2 month after I left, however I had not signed a lease aggrement or extended any aggrement. is what she is doing legal?

Re: lease agreement

For the landlord to recover in court on this lease he will need to present evidence that there was a lease. It does not have to be in writing but without a written lease signed by you how is he going to prove it.
