lease question

my lease says required written notice to terminate lease 60 days prior to experitation. to renew lease 60 days notice prior to experiation i never wanted to renew my lease so i didnt give any notice to renew it and they said im breaking my lease am i?

Unfortunately, yes. You were suppose to send them notice that you did not want to renew and you didn't so the lease automatically renewed.
