Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania
Is it legal for my girlfriend's landlord to prevent me from visiting her apartment ( and my kids)? A recent cracked (open slightly) bathroom window, resulted in an argument between myself and my girlfriend's landlord. I have been visiting daily and staying over on weekends for the past three years without incident. The argument was via the phone.
The landlord has know told my girlfriend I am not allowed in the apartment. We gave it a week and hoped that once everyone calmed down, the landlord would come to his senses, We were wrong. My girlfriend called and explained that she wanted me to visit her and our kids. The landlord said he would not allow me in the apartment.
This guy is nuts. I need to know what the best and quickest way is to address this. Should I have a lawyer write him a letter or should I go directly to my local magistrate?

First, check what the lease says about overnight guests. If it says nothing then the landlord doesn't have any reason to exclude you. That said do you visit? Stay overnight? Perhaps at the next lease renewal you might ask to have your name added to the lease.
You can't go to the local DJ based on what you've said you have no standing.
