Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania
Pricing discrepancies
I am currently leasing an apartment that raised the renal from 890.00 to 940.00. I was informed shortly afterward that rent could now be paid online...so to my astonishment when I went to their web site, I see my apartment at 940/month is now being offered at 810/month! I asked whether or not I could apply for the lower rent (as I am actually JUST able to make my rental payments now) and was told that as long as I had signed the lease (one month before I saw this new rental offer) they couldn't do anything for me???
How can they do this? I came into this apartment paying 890.00/month! Now it is offered to newcomers at 810.00 to my 940.00?
Is there anything I can do?

Re: Pricing discrepancies
Same reason if you went into the grocery store and on Friday paid say $2.99 per pound for grapes and on Sunday they dropped the price to $.99 per pound.
Because you signed the lease you're stuck with the lease price. They could give you the lower price if THEY want to but they don't have to.
