Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania
Question on Verbal Agreements
There are three persons combined on a lease for an apartment until April 30th. Along with the lease agreement all parties have verbally agreed to split the utilities three ways evenly. One party wants to buyout her portion of the lease but does not feel she should be responsible for the utilities. My question is she responsible for her portion of the utilities even though it was only a verbal agreement agreed upon by all three parties?

Re: Question on Verbal Agreements
This depends on several factors....but most important who witnessed the alleged verbal contract. You would be wise to contact and retain an attorney on this matter, before this blows up into a lawsuit.
