Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

real estate eviction

I have been living with a man for 10 years ... 2 in his old house and the last 8 in a newly built home. The house is in his name only. We have lived together with no written agreement regarding financial matters. This man I have shared my life with went to a magistrate and has scheduled a hearing to remove me from his home. Do I have any rights after cohabitating for 10 years? Do I have to walk away with absolutely nothing after putting my heart and soul into our relationship and our home AND our dog for the last 10 years? Not only that but I have spent a lot of money decorating and making our home more beautiful. I have invested in every way and at almost 50 years of age will probably have nothing to show for it.

I have put this under landlord tenant, but there is no rental agreement and I have never considered myself a tenant. This is how he filed the notice with a magstrate.

Re: real estate eviction

You may have an equitable claim to the property. I am not a family law attorney, nor do I practice in Tryone,PA. But I know that you need

an attorney immediately. You stand to lose a lot at Landlord Tenant court. Don't take this situation lightly. You have rights; protect them.

Good luck.
