Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Trying to recover security deposit

I moved out and left a letter with my forwarding address along with the keys because my landlord would not return my calls. I have video proof of the way I left my apartment. I did not receive my security deposit or a list of repairs within 30 days. I received a detailed list after I filed. And I have video proof that she did not make the repairs that she said. I'm only trying to recover my security deposit...not the double I'm entitled to. The problem is I don't have a copy of the letter that I left her with the forwarding address and she's claiming I never gave her one. Am I still entitled to my security deposit without proof?

Re: Trying to recover security deposit

You are entitled to your security deposit regardless of her receipt of your forwarding address. If she did not have your address she may not have to pay the statutory damages for failing to send it to you. I offer free consultations.
