Security deposit
On a signed rental agreement, a $700 deposit was collected as security. There is a requirement of 30days written notice to terminate the agreement by either party. There has been a 2 day notice and have started moving on the first day.
Is the $700 security required to be returned?

Probably not a yes or no answer. If the failure to give timely notice is a breach (which it probably is) you will have to see if retaining the deposit is a remedy under the lease. Contact a lawyer in your area as failing to return the deposit could end with you having to pay twice that amount.
