Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Sick from black mold exposure

My daughter and her room mate live in an apt complex, just after they moved in they noticed the air conditioner was leaking water into the wall. The paint and and sheet rock had bubbles of water all under the air conditioner. The girls contacted the office and someone went out to look at it but they ''fixed the ac instead 'and they didn't check the mold. The girls began getting sick, sore throats, sinus infections, head aches , body aches, chest infections, burning eyes, they started thinking that there was a chance there was mold in the wall. They pull the paint and some sheet rock out and found lots of black mold. They call the office again, but nothing. They wrote letters and sent them certified and still nothing. My daughter has been to the ER and doctors over and over. She lost her job and couldn't work for a couple of months now... same with her room mate and a friend of theirs. Matter of fact, he's getting out of the hospital tomorrow after having his throat cut open 3 times to drain infection, now he can't work for a month. These kids can't pay rent , make car payments, insurance payments, electric , cable bills or cell phone payments. They have no insurance and have tons of drs. bills now. Can we take them to court?

More information is needed for example when did all this happen. When did your daughter find it it was mold. When she found out why did she continue to occupy the premises.
