Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

I signed a lease for an off campus apartment and was not allowed to move in on the day I signed for unless I paid extra (along with other people in my building) does that count as the landlords breaking the lease? We were not allowed to move in until 5 days after we signed. Are we able to get out of the lease for that?

Sounds shady. Does the univewrsity housing department have anything to do with off campus housing. Somemschools do. Check with them. No lanlord would want to get on their bad side.
