Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

tenant rights

We rent and due to an underground leak our water was turned off. It's been 3 days now without water. Is it accaeptable to leave tenants this long without any water?

Re: tenant rights

It depends, is the landlord responsible for fixing the leak or is the water company?

The next question is when and how was the landlord or water company notified about the leak? If so are they working on it?

While lack of running water violates the implied warranty of habitability the landlord if he is responsible for repair has some reasonable time to get the leak repaired.

As a start keep the receipts for the water you have to buy.
