i needed to know what my rights are as a tentant, i rennted for 5 and half years and gave them a 60 day notice and asked them 3 wks. prior to my supposedly moving time that i did not have a place until june 15th which is 15 days after my move time.....i asked for an extention and the refused my request stating that they have already rented it.. i have no where to go and no money for longterm hotel rental.... what are my options? thank you for your legal advice mrs. marsh

You don't have many options. If they rented your old apartment what are they to tell the incoming tenant? What if they gave up their apartment just as you had? Would it be fair for them to have to pay for 2 weeks of hotel and storage?
The best you can hope for is that your new landlord can get you in sooner.
