Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

unauthorized searches

I go to school and live at a private college. One evening a fire drill was set, and housing searched through the drawers of the residents, confisication anything that violated the fire alarm. I'm wondering, is this actually legal, as we did not give them permission, and they did not have a warrant, but they do own the property.

Re: unauthorized searches

This depends on several factors, first your lease agreement, second how private is your "private school," and specifically what drawers were they going through and for what exactly.

My office also offers flat rate pricing and free consultations, for additional information please visit my firm's website at www.AlleghenyAttorneys.com or by calling my office at 412.731.0865.
