Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

uncleaned appartment

I signed a lease to move April 5th into a new appartment. When I arrived, the appartment was not cleaned, steam cleaned, or done being painted. In short it was practically untouched by the landlord. Can I break my lease and move out since he didn't uphold his responsibilities as a landlord.

Re: uncleaned appartment

This is dependent upon the written lease terms, if any, my recommendation is to have an attorney review the lease and then contact the Landlord to negotiate a possible settlement. The worst thing you can do is stop paying the rent. Call my office for additional information.
