Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Yesterday, my entire queen sized bed was ruined from water damage coming from an upstairs apartment. Today, a plumber was sent over and he stated that the pipe connected to the drain was cracked and broken, and needed to be replaced. Is anyone responsible for my bed?

The landlord should be responible, unless the person upstairs caused the pipe to break. You should make a claim with the landlord's insurance company.. If that doesnt work, you can take the landlord to small claims court (Municipal court) and file a complaint. I'm sure that will get his insurance company's attention. Hopefully he has insurance.
