Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania
Abdominal pain in Dec 2013. Dr has me go to have my gallbladder taken out by surgeon. Surgery done. Three Days later I was back in the hospital with pain. My surgeon was the Physician overseeing me in the hospital. They sent me for a CAT scan and did not find anything that was causing the pain. The radiologist in his report though did mention there was a mass on what looked like my appendix. I asked the surgeon about it and he said he's not going to worry about it. I was let go from the hospital. The next week I had a followup appointment with him and asked again about the mass. He stated he's not worried about it. In Aug 2014 I had pain again, had a CAT scan in the hospital and radiologist again saw a mass and it grew. Dr in emergency room did nothing about it. January 2015, abdominal pain, emergency room, CAT scan, surgical oncologist saw mass, it had grown again, did surgery to remove and sent to pathology. Through all this, nobody ever sent info to my primary care dr. to follow up. Do I have a Medical Malpractice claim?
