Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

I had a basil cell removed from my nose and plastic sugery.they took a piece of cartilage from my ear to rebuild my nose. One week later they took the stiches out. A few days later it started to split apart in 2 places. When i went back for my check up they did another repair, the week after that they put stiches inside. The problem i have now is they have closed my nostril to about a 1/4 of its origional size,i am having sinus headaches constantly and you would never believe that a plastic surgeon would leave my nose so deformed and scared. When i saw my primary care doctor she was in shock at what they did. Do i have a malpractice case?

Why did it take so long for the tumor to be removed? It must have been large to require an ear graft. Have you sought a second opinion to determine whether the surgery can be revised? What reason has the surgeon given you for the unexpected result. You need to consult an attorney skilled in handling such cases in your jurisdiction. A bad result does not form the basis for a claim. You must establish that there was a careless delay in diagnosis and treatment or that the surgeon did not employ such safeguards as would have prevented the unfortunate result.Since there are statutes of limitations applying to med neg cases, you should not delay your further inquiries.
