Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania
A close friend of mine has been on dialysis for 16.5 years. Recently he was having a proceedure done at a hospital. As he was being preped for surgery - the head anesthesiologist blurted out to the entire room, including his wife that he has AIDES. This is the second time that someone at that hospital has made the claim. He has gone to get an independent test for AIDES...the results are negative. He had asked the hospital to make the correction after the first comment and yet they still have done nothing to correct it. What can he do to make sure it is not in his medical record and the staff discontinues to claim that he has it?

Federal law permits you to correct your records. Ask them in writting to make the correction. If they won't make correction, see a lawyer.
