I'm sorry your daughter had such a difficult time. I hope she recovered & is OK. And that's the question. You don't mention her status. If she's OK, there's no claim worth pursuing.

If you are considering a malpractice suit, you should contact a medical malpractice attorney as soon as possible. Many, if not most, malpractice attorneys will provide an initial phone consultation without charge.

As I will explain below, I would not be interested in considering this case. This is my opinion only. Another attorney may feel differently, so if you are considering a malpractice suit, I urge you to contact another malpractice attorney through this list, your county Bar Association or the Yellow Pages.

You encountered a callous attitude in the first emergency room. This is unfortunate, but by itself does not give rise to lawsuit.

It appears that the emergency room recognized that your daughter required specialized care from a childrens hospital care and acted in a timely manner to transfer her to the proper level of care.

One of the most important things a doctor must do is to recognize when a medical problem exceeds his expertise, and arrange proper care with another professional. In spite of the attitude, it sounds like this doctor did the right thing, and put your daughter in the hands of people who figured out what was going on.

Im sorry for your experience and wish you the best for your daughter.
