Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania
Hospital releases patient having stroke
Mother brought to hospital emergency room. Speech difficult, trouble with left arm and leg. Was admitted. After a few hours, was released. On return home, father was advised by neighbors to return to hospital. By that time, walking was very difficult, was in and out of consciousness, and she couldn't speak. Was then, admitted again with full blown stroke symptoms. She subsequently died about 3 weeks later. This happened in May/June, 1998. My father and I feel that if she had been properly diagnosed, remained at hospital, and been given proper treatment, she might be with us today. Can we sue the hospital?

Re: Hospital releases patient having stroke
You may be able to sue, BUT your time may be running out. I have worked on malpractice case in PA and I beleive that the statute of limitations is 2 years. That doesn't leave much time to investigate and prepare for a lawsuit. Give me a call if you would like. 1-800-838-0800
