Involuntary Committment

I need to know the laws and procedures for a psychiatrist to admit a patient involuntarily to a high level psych ward. I believe I was wrongfully admitted and need to know my rights.

Although I have personally been involved in the involuntary commitment process in PA, I believe that any opinion I might render, without knowing the specifics of your case would be misleading.

If you believe you were improperly committed and to sue. you should try call malpractice and civil rights attorneys ASAP, to get an opinion on your case.

BTW, I personally would not get involved with this kind of case at this time. another attorney may have different opinion, so I urge you to inquire further.
