Medical
Moved to Andrews, NC in July 2009 and was found to be with malignant melanoma in late 2008. The size of the tumor placed me at stage III.
Our new family doctor here in Andrews, NC was made aware of issue during my second office visit/exam at, which time he schedule me for a biopsy after examining my foot.
The demonologist I had been seeing for about 2 years while living in Hanover, PA was aware of the issue and my concern, but said it was nothing and did nothing about it for over a year.
The biopsy came back as cancer so I was send to doctors in Asheville, NC who ran various test and scheduled surgery in early December-08 in Asheville, NC. Half of the back side of my foot had to be removed.
I am finally after 4 months getting the point I can move around the house and can almost change my bandage myself.
Now with the worst behind me my question is what recourse do I have in holding this doctor in Hanover, PA accountable for doing nothing for 1-2 years. Had I stayed under his care he would have allowed me to die of cancer..?
I am now 4 months into this and feeling much better, but still dependent on others to care for me my home and family. Yes I better and thankful the surgery was successful, but I am also

Re: Medical
The stage at which Melanoma is diagnosed is directly related the magnitude of the treatment required to eradicate. The span of a year or more with no attempted diagnosis or biopsy was a very significant delay. You may well have a right to file a legal claim against the MD in Hanover who carelessly treated you. It is critical that the records of your care and treatment be obtained snd reviewed by a lawyer experienced with Pennnsylvania medical malpractice cases so that a determination can be made concerning the facts that can be proven and to what extent you sufferred injuries as a result of the delay in diagnosis and treatment.
