Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

medicine and death

Is ther a limitation on malpractice suits and can you tell me if I have a leg to stand on? My father passed away 3 years ago and I asked my mom to check on this at the time, but she was too upset to think. My father was sent to the hospital approx. one week before he died. The hospital found his intstine was leaking from a small hole and they admitted him for it so that he could get antibiotics. While in the hospital, they did not normal battery of tests. His doctor informed him that he was in great shape besides that problem. His heart was supposedly in great shape. He had to go to a surgeon outside to see if surgery was needed. It was ruled a no. He went home and started moping around. He experienced some pain in hes chest which he called his Doctor for and the Doctor told him that his heart is in great shape, but he may have alot of gas. He told him to take antacids. Well, that Monday my father went towork and we received a call he collapsed at work. By the time we got tothe hospital he was gone. They say it was a major heart attack that took him. He was told it was in great shape. We wanted an autopsy, but could not afford it. They said if the Dr. requested it could be done for free. His Doctor refused. What was he hiding?
