Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

necklift surgery/cosmetic

I had necklift surgery in 8/1/06. I gave him 3 chances to correct the problem. It's getting worse. I had a second opinion. The 2nd dr said, my neck was traumatized 3 times. He cannot operate it again. What shall I do?

You should, first, make sure you're getting the best care possible, following your current physician's instructions, and requesting second opinions when available.

Second, if you feel you have been injured by medical malpractice (it's impossible to know if malpractice has occurred either way until your situation has been reviewed for malpractice by an appropriate professional) then you should speak with a medical malpractice attorney. My firm handles medical law practice claims and would be happy to review your case, or you can find attorneys through lawyers that you know, through Internet sites such as this one, or through your local county bar association.

Keep in mind that Pennsylvania has a two-year statute of limitations for most medical malpractice claims. If your first operation was on August 1, 2006, you would need to file suit by August 1 of this year. Be aware that you can't just walk into a lawyer's office and expect them to file a lawsuit -- in addition to the lawyer's own review, Pennsylvania requires that lawyers obtain a certificate of merit from an appropriate professional prior to initiating any medical malpractice lawsuit.

Thus, you should probably be searching for an attorney now rather than later.
